Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-22

This policy explains what information CommunityHunt collects when you use the site, and how it's used. CommunityHunt is a directory service: most of the site — browsing, searching, and filtering communities and events — requires no account and no personal information at all.

Account data. If you sign in to submit a community, claim a listing, or manage a dashboard, authentication is handled by Clerk, our identity provider. We receive your name and email address from Clerk to identify your account and associate it with the communities and events you manage; we do not receive or store your password.

Listing data. Information you submit about a community — its name, description, links, host details, and contact information — is stored in our database and displayed publicly as part of the directory, since that's the purpose of a listing. Don't submit information you don't want shown publicly.

Analytics. We use privacy-conscious analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand aggregate traffic and performance, such as which pages are viewed and how fast they load. These tools are designed to avoid tracking individual users across sites and do not use cookies for cross-site tracking.

Data sharing. We don't sell your data. We share account data with Clerk (our authentication provider) and listing/analytics data with our hosting providers (Vercel and our database provider) solely to operate the site.

Your choices. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account or listing data at any time by emailing hello@communityhunt.in. If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above.
